My First Full-Time Job!

The last time I updated my blog, I had just finished the second week of my internship, and for this post, I have even more exciting news! As of February 18th, I started a new role as an associate Production Designer for Walt Disney Imagineering! I am so grateful for all the opportunities I have had so far, coming to work every day is such an adventure and always so exciting!

It has been such a journey since I started last April. I remember getting my first name tag after moving into Flamingo Crossings (Disney's housing program for their college programs). And now I have just finished all my WDI orientations and moved into my very own apartment!

I have met so many amazing new friends and have been able to experience more of Florida than I ever had before. My family has also been able to visit me often which makes me so happy. My parents were just here helping me move into my new apartment complex.

Overall, I am so happy with where I am and I can’t wait to see where this first full-time job takes me on my journey as a designer! As I am getting settled in, I have also started on finding new creative outlets outside of work. I hope that my portfolio can transform into a space for personal projects that allow me to express myself outside the Disney bubble.

I can’t believe that this March marks one year since I finished my undergraduate degree. I would have never guessed this is where I would have ended up when I started at SCAD. If 2024 is even half as amazing as 2023 then I can’t wait!
